Wyrrabalong National Park is a coastal treasure on the Central Coast, divided into two sections: the northern part near Norah Head and the southern part near Bateau Bay. The park boasts stunning coastal cliffs, pristine beaches, and lush rainforest, offering activities ranging from bushwalking to whale watching.
In the north, you’ll discover rugged sandstone cliffs and the scenic Red Gum Trail, which winds through beautiful bushland and offers views of Tuggerah Lake. This section is perfect for those looking to explore secluded trails or enjoy a peaceful walk among native flora.
The southern section, near Bateau Bay, features Wyrrabalong and Crackneck Lookouts, offering sweeping views over Tuggerah Lake and the Pacific Ocean. The coastal walking tracks here are a highlight, meandering through dense bushland with numerous spots to admire the ocean. Wildlife enthusiasts will also appreciate the chance to spot the majestic white-bellied sea eagle.
For a recommended walk, head south from Bateau Bay Beach along the base of the cliffs, where you’ll find beautiful mangroves, a fascinating rock shelf with rock pools, and abundant birdlife.
