Boat Harbour is a quiet hamlet situated only minutes from Anna Bay. Boat Harbour's history is interwoven with the rich maritime heritage of Port Stephens. Indigenous Worimi communities were the original custodians of this land, relying on its bountiful marine resources for sustenance and cultural significance. European explorers discovered the area in the late 18th century, eventually leading to the establishment of a vibrant fishing and shipping community.

The development of infrastructure, including a small marina and amenities, transformed Boat Harbour into a well-equipped destination for boaters and vacationers. As tourism grew in the region, the harbor maintained its quaint charm while adapting to the evolving needs of travellers.

Today, Boat Harbour remains a testament to the harmonious blend of history and modernity. The subtle reminders of its maritime past coexist with modern cafes, boutique shops, and recreational facilities. Visitors can explore the heritage trails that wind through the area, learning about the Indigenous culture and early European settlers who shaped its identity.
